In February 2013 she started working with Global Visionaries after processing coffee with her family for 9 years. Claudia values the strengths taught at GV, including leadership, integrity and honesty.
Claudia also believes that by stepping out of our comfort zones we can become global leaders today to help meet people’s basic needs: identity, education, expression, dignity, and respect.
For 16 years, Joe taught Geography, History and Leadership classes at Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, Colorado, and Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, California. In 1993, he won the Colorado Governor’s Excellence in Education Award and in 1998, he was named Thompson Valley High School’s Teacher of the Year. Joe holds a B.A in Social Sciences and an M.A. in Educational Leadership both from Colorado State University.
Inspired by the promise of the energy for change that is so bright in our youth, Laurel is excited to share her passion for engagement and awareness with Global Leaders’ students.
Derrick believes that all people have the capability to change a life, if only their own, through cultural immersion and understanding. His favorite quote comes from Mark Twain, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow mindedness.”
Juliana is honored to continue her involvement in GL. She believes in the power of world exploration and service, and the role it plays in developing the next generation of well-informed and competent leaders. GL provides a platform for students to learn more about themselves, their beliefs, their ability to serve, and the power of the human connection.
